Victoria Vintage Slot Car Clubs

Scale vintage racing happens on Ferrodor® painted wooden tracks around Melbourne. We race original vintage production slot cars like Cox, Atlas, Monogram, K&B, AMT, Tamiya, Russkit, Revell, MPC as well as scratch built cars, which are generally 1:24 or 1:25 scale and based on real 1:1 scale pre-1973 cars.

Car bodies generally must be hard plastic, apart from FX/FJ Sedans and Thingies. Sometimes a sports car class for Lexan vacuum formed bodies is run too. Modern motors such as Parma are not allowed although 'China' motors are. 12 volts is generally used, more often than not, but may be adjusted up for some classes. Anglewinder chassis are not permitted but either in-line or sidewinders are. Most people run an authentic original chassis from the 1960s era or build a chassis that is in keeping with the era. Only natural rubber tyres are used.

Contact group coordinator Chris (and this sites webmaster) via the contact page here to enquire about being accepted into the group.
